Karen Mireau, Founder of Azalea Art Press, is a "Literary Midwife" and independent publisher specializing in poetry, memoir and children's titles. Karen began her own creative journey as a full-time poet and book artist. She went on to create critically-acclaimed children’s television and film, to raise a family of eight, and to represent children’s book authors and illustrators for over a decade. Later, she discovered a new calling in encouraging others to write their life stories. This has now brought her back to her first love—the crafting of beautiful, meaningful and imaginative books.

With over forty years’ experience in book design, production and marketing, it’s her desire to encourage others to express themselves with maximum creativity and literary integrity.
